The owners are a Greek-American family. The mother (me) grew up in Crete and moved to the United States for graduate studies. My childish dream was to be an astrophysicist and ended up becoming a neuroscience professor instead. A big advantage of my work is that I was given the opportunity to travel all over the world. As wonderful as these trips were, I found that I missed my home village.

We built this villa for our retirement. As I love my home (the house, the village, the surrounding area and culture, the Crete island) so much, I want to share it with the rest of the world – you! I want to open my home to the people from Europe, the US and other faraway places who have opened their homes to me when I visited their countries.

You are very welcome and I will do everything I can to have you experience what I love the most: Life, history, and friendship in a beautiful, non-touristy, quiet place, whose culture goes back in time for centuries.
